Planning: Location Recce

Location 1: Riverside, Stratford-upon-Avon

Production Information:

Date/Time: 14/02/12 (09.00-11.00)
Outline of scene: Establishing shots of Stratford-upon-Avon, character of 'Brian' walking around on his own to signify his loneliness and isolation.
Equipment: Nikon D7000, tripod, Rode Video Microphone

Sound Information:
Recording sound is very weather dependent. It is intended that we will record some ambient sound of Stratford in the day-time, and there is a sponge windshield on the microphone to filter out any unwanted wind.

Power Information:
All necessary equipment will be fully charged before use to ensure we can complete all work planned.

Access:
This location is a public area, so there is no need for permission for filming. If there are any members of the public around who object to being filmed, we will ensure they are not in any of the shots.

Possible Hazards:
Weather could be an issue, though we would rather not film in wet weather anyway. We will be prepared with umbrellas to protect equipment and waterproof clothing for ourselves.
Recording next to the river also creates a few risks, though every step possible will be taken to ensure we keep ourselves and the equipment clear of the water.

Location 2: Alcester Road, Studley

Most of our trailer is set at this location, which happens to be the home of Jack Cranston in our group.

Production Information:
Date/Time: 9/12/12 (12.00-18.00), 16/12/12 (10.00-19.00)
Outline of scenes: Party scene where Brian drugs Ashley and Nick (although this will be filmed there, it is meant to be a completely seperate location). Room in which Brian has tied up Ashley and Nick. Various rooms in which Ashley and Nick are hiding/running through in order to escape. Garden scene where Nick and Ashley are running away from Brian, who will be armed with some kind of weapon.
Equipment: Nikon D7000, tripod, Rode Video Microphone, flash gun, floor lamps, light-disperse umbrellas

Sound Information
All of the sound will be recorded with the Rode Mic, which will be either connected to the camera and recording sound simultaneously with the video footage, or connected straight to a computer when recording sounds that don't necessarily need to match up directly with footage.

Power Information:
All necessary equipment will be fully charged before use to ensure we can complete all work planned. Also, being in a house means there are many mains plug points where we can charge equipment if necessary.

Access:
This location owned by one of the producers of the trailer, so no permission was needed.

Possible Hazards:
When filming outside, weather could be an issue. All precautions mentioned previously will be taken here.
Inside the house itself, there may be sharp objects or wires. There is also a risk of dropping equipment, so particular care will be taken when moving around and we will ensure that any dangers are cleared at the start of the day.
